Earth Hour 2008 March 29 at 8 pm- lights off!

Hey, I just signed up to the new Earth Hour website for 2008 and I thought you might like to take a look and possibly sign up too. Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm, and it looks like it's going to be really big. So far, as well as Sydney, there'll also be Chicago, Tel Aviv, Manila, Copenhagen, Melbourne, Brisbane and Toronto all turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming. Water Bottles

Infinite Sky-- you have a beautiful vision for all Art of Living courses everywhere. Courses could supply non-disposable bottles to everyone for taking water from large containers . Then we could all take the bottles with us when we leave the courses and continue to use the same bottle over and over again. They are easily washable as well as indestructible. Everyone needs a water bottle in order to use only one, rather than so many! Continue

Bicycle/Walk Days for Climate Stability

Riding a bicycle or walking instead of driving when possible has many benefits, not only to the atmosphere but also to our bodies. How about a Bicycle and Walk day where all of Art of Living agrees not to drive a car for their regular activities? This could coincide with one of the festivals being celebrated in India possibly. The green team could send out notice of this to all volunteers and teachers via listserve. Continue

Organic Cotton Markets

After seeing the plight of cotton farmers in some parts of India, I feel urgency about the need to encourage the development of a market for organic cotton products from India. Could Art of Living start selling organic cotton products in the Divine shops at ashrams and at the bigger courses?
