Hi Betsy! Looks Great! Please let me know when you have your event idea selected. What is the university in Carbondale that you are considering working with? Love Em
The University I attend here is called Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I am also considering working with Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., as soon as I can make more connections there.

City Name: Stanford ('cause it identifies itself as such lol!)
Ideas for your Event:
"The Eclectic Earth", a name that we have found apt for our cause and passion, will be a revolutionary event. We intend it to be one of magnitude in both its significance and its relevance. We aspire to display an ‘eclectic’ spectrum of activity: from a diversity of musical and entertainment talent, to an array of global cuisine and informational booths promoting environmental sustainability and conscious living. All this constituting a full-day, zero-waste event in commemoration of World Earth Day and Youth Service Day on April 26th at Stanford University.
We wish to make "Eclectic Earth - Peace through Sonic harmony" a wildly energetic and tastefully diversified event that serves as a foundation for all youth who believe that they can take responsibility for their actions and environment. We seek to dispel the apathy and inertia of our generation, and foster an awareness of the impact of even our most ‘innocuous’ daily activities. Our aim is to promote green living, not as an alternative lifestyle or cosmopolitan trend for the new-age enthusiast, but as an ethical and blatantly logical aspect of each of our lives. The objective of our event is to celebrate the vibrant ‘living earth’ and draw focus to its diverse, yet fragile ecosystem.
Merchants and vendors present at the event will create an awareness about, and an accessibility to, eco-friendly goods and services. This will ease our audience’s transition to their new ’high–consciousness’ lifestyles.
In affiliation with the Art of Living Foundation, the world's largest volunteer based NGO, our team consists entirely of youth (under the age of 30). We believe that we can inspire other youth by leading by example. As such, we will generate and anticipate substantial media coverage and public acclaim.
We, as a team, are consistently aware that we alone can mould our future. There is little fertility in craving a change, when undoubtedly we can make one. Perhaps, it will be a drop in the ocean. After all, we are young; armed only with our keen understanding of what we face . And yet, the enormity of our commitment to creating this awareness has not made us into cynics. Our volunteer organized, operated, and managed event can set forth a wheel in motion, inspiring youth all over the country to do something similar.
In this way, we intend to bring the ‘green revolution’ to the next generation.
Dear Eno, can you write some more detailes about the project you are planning. May be you can attach it here so that the Art of Living team can see a more detailed pitcure if that wonderful project.

Dear emily, do you have an official document which says that aol and GYSD are working together this year. i visisted their website. there was no mention of it. i needed it for the media here in suriname, and also we have a few meeting lined up with government officials. so it would be great if we had something official, so we have better credibility.
jai gurudev!
