Water Bottles

Courses could supply non-disposable bottles to everyone for taking water from large containers . Then we could all take the bottles with us when we leave the courses and continue to use the same bottle over and over again. They are easily washable as well as indestructible. Everyone needs a water bottle in order to use only one, rather than so many!

Also we should explain/illustrate the destruction that plastic bottles create. I don't think a lot of people understand what happens to them whether they go into the landfill or how recycling helps.

Yes-- you're right. Education about the consequences of wasteful use of plastic is important. So much energy goes into recycling them and so much space goes into landfill use. The solution is so simple-- use re-usable bottles instead, and really re-use them instead of using more and more bottles.
